How do we create the conditions for equal care throughout the country - with a supply of skills that lasts over time?

It is one of the most crucial issues in healthcare right now. Yet the debate tends to get stuck on the staffing industry, even though it covers only a small part of the healthcare workforce.

A new report from Sirona, partly funded by Kompetensföretagen, analyzes the staffing issue from a broader system perspective. The report shows how the regions' different ways of organizing care staffing affect both costs, care queues and access to care and ultimately the patient's ability to get help in time.

Our hope is that the report will serve as a knowledge base and contribute to a more nuanced and constructive debate on how we can meet the staffing challenges in the long term and thereby create a more equal care, regardless of whether the solutions are in the public sector or in collaboration with private actors.
