Stockholm City ranks Sirona in the top
Sirona is growing and expanding its client portfolio with municipalities. Marit Vaagen, CEO and senior expert at Sirona, talks about several new, innovative partnerships - all aimed at creating the best possible welfare, health and social care.
Sirona has long worked with regions in Sweden. Now the company is expanding its work with municipalities. In a major procurement with the City of Stockholm, the municipality has ranked Sirona at the top, among 36 different consultancies, after an overall assessment of quality and costs.
- This is a framework agreement that covers all activities in the city. These include everything from elderly care to LSS operations and HVB homes. "The fact that we have been ranked first of all consulting agencies is of course extremely gratifying - we are grateful for this opportunity to work more with more municipalities," says Marit Vaagen, CEO and senior expert at Sirona.
As a partner, Sirona can contribute with long experience of operational and quality development, with particular depth of expertise in the healthcare field.
- We do classic improvement work where we implement operational development based on several factors - quality, equality, costs and of course also the staff perspective. The development can take place both in internal processes and through smart procurement of external suppliers, all to create better care," says Marit Vaagen.
A second innovative collaboration has just started with another of Sweden's largest municipalities. The mission is to make the right preventive interventions for individuals who need it.
- We are now working closely with the municipality to develop an analytical tool to evaluate which preventive interventions the municipality should invest in, for example for young people who need to be moved from their family to HVB (Homes for Care or Housing). We also analyze efforts to get foreign-born women into the labor market. This is work that is very meaningful, given the situation we have today in Sweden.
Recently, Sirona has also launched a series of partnerships between the pharmaceutical industry and patient associations.
- Together we run improvement programs to improve compliance with the National Board of Health and Welfare guidelines, which benefits patients. It is exciting, innovative and a perspective that we want to continue to pursue - the patient-centered and the preventive, says Marit Vaagen. We will come back to the details in the next newsletter.
