Background information

The private company wanted a clearer definition of what e-health and welfare technology means for the company and guidance on what initiatives should be taken in the field in the future.

Challenge

Sirona was tasked with defining, clarifying and framing the company's strategic and future direction in the market segments of e-health and welfare technology. The main purpose of the project was to produce a strategic decision basis for the company's future direction in e-health and welfare technology for the next five years.

Implementation

Sirona conducted an analysis of the company's current position in e-health and welfare technology through interviews with key stakeholders within the company as well as an examination of previous initiatives and projects in the field. Furthermore, a mapping and analysis of the eHealth and welfare technology market was conducted to identify trends and potential business opportunities. The detailing and quantification of business opportunities was carried out by analyzing similar actors and identifying potential customers. Sirona worked in an integrated way with the company through close cooperation with a project team appointed by the company with experience in service development, as well as regular coordination with the company's management team.

Outcome

The work resulted in a mapping of prioritized and overarching service development initiatives, investments and activities in e-health and welfare technology for the next 1-5 years. Sirona's work helped to formulate a coherent and clear picture of the company's current and future position in e-health and welfare technology.
